Support from Belgium Dear Purusharth, Dear creators and contributors to this site/ blog, This little message to compliment you on your work. I am a Belgian, living in Brussels, professionally a consultant and vocationally a writer. Part of my studies included Indian languages and hence I am a lover of India. (Just today, by the way, I became the proud owner of a beautiful book written by French photographers Roland and Sabrina Michaud, called (in English translation:) "Of Gods and Men. Cosmic dance in India". It contains the most beautiful photographs of worshipers at Vishnuite, Shivaite and Jainite festivals, as well as irradiating images of sadhus, in all their physical, soul-like and spiritual beauty and manliness.) When I came across your site/blog I was and still am extremely pleased to recognize the ideas I have defended as a writer in many circumstances, for instance on the defunct forum of the American site JackinWorld, as well as in my practice as a supporter and coach of men and boys. It is absolutely refreshing to read your judgments on sexuality in Western societies, and if only for that reason, I encourage people over here to take a look. But I also recognize that your blog/site is in the first place oriented to what needs to be done in India itself for India not to repeat the West's mistakes, so that in the end we may get inspiration from you. That is why at first maybe I may not be inclined to publish many comments, preferring to read how your Indian audience develops. I wish you the greatest possible satisfaction from your courageous work. Do feel supported in spirit by all members of the brotherhood of men. Michel Leclerc 09 Aug 2007 06:17 am

Thank you Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for articulating it so explicitly and well. You have finally explained my life. I knew most of this already but to hear it said so explicitly by another is very gratifying. I don't visit this site very often anymore (its too "gay identity" oriented for me.), but Im glad I checked it out to find you and the blogspot site. I also suspect you are "*****" from ******.com, is that correct? Some of your replies on those threads are classic, especially the one where you tell Giambattista that it will make no difference to most boys if it is taught that "homosexuality" is OK. YES!! ( I don't have an ID there I just lurk..) I am from the US. I too often feel it does not pay to be conscious and unguilty about your desire for men, if you don't fit into the effeminate gay culture. It is so much better to be deluded and think you are 100 percent heterosexual. You get punished hard for your self-awareness in this society. You get told to "accept yourself as gay" by gays, and then you witness the delusion of "straight" men who deny their attraction to you. How dare the fags tell me i "can't accept myself"?? They have NO idea about that.. My favorite time was when a "straight" guy made overtures towards me, then when I owned up to my attraction (in private), he denied his and gave me a "compassionate" lecture on how I should "accept myself" and "come out". I was this close from punching him. this close. The humiliation and loneliness was unbearable. There are times you feel suicidal. There is nowhere to go. Nowhere. And this is in the "Free, open-minded, Liberated" West. What a lie. Again, your work seems nothing short of heroic to
me. Keep it up and don't let the fag ideologues on this site bring you
down..

Makes a lot of sense and falls in line with what I have experienced over the years. Hope the guys haven't been giving you a hard time. I love your style and I think you have a lot of patience. Men and Women ARE different I remember an uproar when they first introduced female bodybuilders into the sport in the West some years ago...it was a big uproar from the men as it always has been a men's sport...I believe in equality for women in that if they are qualified they should be paid the same wages as men but some of the social stuff goes too far...women simply aren't men and in some instances this equality stuff has gone too far..and the gay marriage thing..well that is just rediculous... I agree, sports is a masculine bond between men..that is the first thing they discuss even if they don't know each other...the topic on the work bus today was the basketball playoffs and the new players and how they played... read the yahoo threads and it
seems like Americans have this obsession with "gay" its like if you do
this or that you are labeled "gay"...but then again Jamaica is worst.. |
